Compelled!

For the first time I have felt compelled to write about this new 'violent/extreme' pronography law which will turn a vast number of good people into criminals. Now that I do write, am almost embaressed that I have not put finger to keyboard sooner.

Broadly speaking, the government intends to make it an offence to view images that are pornographic, and explicit, and for "real or appearing to be real acts" of serious violence, or necrophilia, or bestiality, where "by serious violence we mean appears to be life threatening or likely to result in serious, disabling injury".

I understand that there will always be the few that ruin things for the many, personally I think the government have gone into overkill. This trashes the rights of consenting adults! The vast majority of our 'community' practice safe, sane and consentual acts and I take this very personally that this is the government stepping foot right inside MY bedroom.

Personally serious violence, or necrophilia, or bestiality in porn really don't do anything for me. But what they are now basically saying that if I was to set a 'Scene' for my partner and I to enjoy, involving pre arranged consentual activities that to the outside world 'seem' to be real acts, and we decide to film/photograph our selves. We then become criminals and are at risk of imprisonment! They seem to be taking us back to the era of Betty Paige in the States!

We are law abiding, tax paying, responsible adults! We are the ones that they should be listening to! I am at a loss, there are people that are far more eloquent at 11.30pm on a Monday night, but I felt I had to get this published to show my support for Backlash and all they do for our freedom!
